When working on a country estate project, we were asked by the client to design a private study. Among the main requirements were a bed with a storage compartment and an electrically adjustable slatted bed base, a bookcase and a work desk. The client wanted to tone the interior in the style of a country house. The key element of the design is custom made spruce-wood furniture finished with white wax oil, which nicely corresponds to the beam ceiling and the door. The dominant feature of the whole interior is spruce panelling made of
floorboards behind the bed, the bookcase and the desk. This presents an attractive contrast to the American walnut wood used for the desk and the furniture cornice boards. The furniture is fitted with raised panel doors. We also chose two retractable lights and an adjustable wall lamp above the bed. The study is equipped with a leather armchair and a Ton coat stand. The furniture handles are made of bronze tinted metal to match the bronze table lamp.
